UNESCO World Heritage site

The site "Vineyards Landscapes of Piedmont: Langhe, Roero and Monferrato" has been included on the UNESCO World Heritage List , thanks to the exceptional value of its wine culture, which has shaped the landscape over the centuries.
Located in the central south part of Piedmont, the site has been included primarely for its cultural landscape as the result of the combined action between man and nature.
About 70% of the municipal area of Vinchio is included among “the areas of excellence” in the component n. 4 "Nizza Monferrato and Barbera".
The Association for the Heritage of Wine Landscapes of Langhe, Roero and Monferrato manages the “governance” activities, from promotion to project planning.
