House of Memory, Resistance and Deportation (Casa della Memoria, della Resistenza e della Deportazione)

The House of Remembrance project was born in July 2005, with a proposal by the president of the Piedmont section of the Association of Former Deportees, Ferruccio Maruffi, to build a regional documentation center in Vinchio dedicated to the deportation of politicians and civilians to Nazi concentration camps.

Five years later, that proposal has become a reality with the inauguration on Sunday, December 5, 2010, of the House of Memory, Resistance, and Deportation.
